RIPE NCC
Academic background: After finishing high school I went onto study Computer Aided Design and Materials engineering at college. Following the completion of both these courses I started my working life providing technical customer support for a number of large tech companies before moving to the RIPE NCC to work in their Customer Service department.
Please explain why you are interested to participate at the Euro-SSIG:
Due to the importance of the internet in everyone’s lives today, I believe an in depth knowledge of how it is governed, regulated and the threats it faces is vital to anyone who wishes to work in and for the internet community. I hope to broaden my knowledge of Internet Governance and the stakeholders involved in making the Internet what it is. The internet is changing every day (IANA Stewardship transition is just one example of the ever changing landscape) and this solid knowledge of how things work and who controls what will be extremely beneficial to me and my career. I also look forward to building relationships with both the faculty and students attending.
