SciencesPo Paris
Academic background: I studied in the French Lycee in Mexico City, where I obtained the Baccalaureat with special mention in 2011. I completed my bachelor degree at SciencesPo Paris (Political Sciences and Public Policy) and also carried out an Erasmus exchange, during which I studied European Policies and Policy Making at King’s College London. I am currently enrolled in a master’s degree in International Public Management at SciencesPo Paris. I speak fluent French, English, Spanish and Portuguese and currently learning Italian.
Please explain why you are interested to participate at the Euro-SSIG:
I want to participate at the Euro-SSIG because I think that this course is essential for my professional project, which is to become a policy-maker in the Internet Governance process but first, I need to fully understand the complexity of it and I need to grasp the different stakeholder’s vision. Through my studies I familiarized with the multi-stakeholder’s approach and its implications on policy making but I want to have a deeper understanding of all the stakeholder’s rationale specially the technical side which I am sadly quite unfamiliar with. I am currently an intern at the ICC as part of the Business Action to Support the Internet Society where I combine my academic background with a practical insight of the business approach. After this experience I need to have a holistic perspective of the internet governance arena with a special interest in Human Rights and Civil Society that I haven’t fulfilled at my internship and at school. I am persuaded that this programme, the Faculty and fellows will give me the skills, contacts and experience I require to launch my professional project and to get involved in the IG process as a policy maker or an activist for Digital Rights.
