I am a faculty member at the University of South Australia and a second year PhD student at the University of Sydney. My research is part of a global project focused on market concentration in internet and communication sectors. See https:\/\/gmicp.org\/communications-media-and-internet-concentration-in-australia-2019-2022\/<\/a>
\nThis work is informed by the political economy and media industries traditions with a view towards informed policy engagement.<\/p>\n

  1. The EuroSSIG has been an invaluable opportunity to learn about internet governance from some of the most senior and well respected and knowledgeable members of the IG community.<\/li>\n
  2. The structure and location of the summer school allowed for a deeply focused learning environment that covered a wide array of content in a condensed period, including global governance bodies, the domain name and internet protocol systems, and emerging issues such as AI, quantum, immersive and neural technologies.<\/li>\n
  3. The event also afforded invaluable networking opportunities both with senior mentors and emerging leaders in the IG community.<\/li>\n
  4. The interdisciplinary nature of the summer school also helped make the content accessible to non-experts and people without technical knowledge.<\/li>\n
  5. The accommodation and site were also fantastic. The use of a quiet and regional area helped remove distractions that would otherwise be present in a metropolitan location and also helped encourage fellows to communicate and network.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
