Jana Mišić

University of Leipzig, Germany

Academic background: Academically, I am trained as political scientist, with a particular interest in the place of technology and the Internet in our societies. I obtained my undergraduate degree from the University of Belgrade (Serbia) and University of Ghent (Belgium). In July this year, I will be finishing a joint ‚Global Studies‘ Master Program at the University of Leipzig (Germany), and have spent a year at the University of Wrocław (Poland). My master thesis tackles the issues around the responsibility by design principle, zero-rated services, and net neutrality issues, by researching the asymmetrical power relations that arise from unequal access and ownership architecture of the Internet.
