My entire academic career unfolded in Brazil, begining with a Technical High School Diploma in Data Processing in 2004. After that, I got a Bachelor’s in Economics (USP, 2010), I pursued postgraduate studies in Labor Economics (UNICAMP, 2016). My 2020 Master’s in Public Administration (FGV) focused on racial equity in credit scoring algorithms. My dissertation, “Inclusive Social Algorithms: The Case of Conta Black,” explored solutions to algorithmic bias for financial inclusion, particularly for Black Brazilians.
