Gonzalo López-Barajas Húder – Telefonica

Gonzalo Lopez-Barajas is Manager Public Policy & Internet at Telefonica.
In this role, he is responsible for implementing the strategy of Telefonica´s global Public Policy work, with a stronger focus on economical and commercial issues of the Internet and the Digital Economy, where defining the Company positions on Internet Policies and Governance. He has co-authored Telefonica Digital Manifesto, where the innovative and differential approach within the industry has been widely recognized. He is Telefonica’s delegate at the OECD. He is also actively engaged in the Company’s advocacy at other international organization and business associations such as G20, ETNO and GSMA and ICC.
He joined Telefonica in 1999 and held various responsibilities at Investor Relations, including IPO and Investor Relations Officer at Atento starting 2010. Head of Regulatory affairs at Telefonica Europe for two years. In 2013 he took over his current position initiating an intense activity on Internet Governance forums at a local, regional and global level.
Gonzalo is a Telecommunication engineer by Universidad Politecnica of Madrid, and a Certified European Financial Analyst, holding a Master degree in Business Management by ESADE business school.
