Alexander von Humboldt Foundation / Hertie School of Governance, Germany
Academic background: I hold a BA, International Relations from PUC-GO (Brazil) and a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School of Governance (Berlin). My expertise lies in two parallel areas: the protection of online privacy data (plus implications of its commodification) and the use of open data to foster transparency and adoption of new technologies by governments. Web Foundation, Transparency International and Institute of Privacy and Society of Rio de Janeiro (ITS Rio) are organisations for which I have performed commissioned research so far. Currently I am a German Chancellor Fellow and study open government impact in Brazil and Germany.
