Academic background: I am a Master student at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. My research deals with internet jurisdiction and the way of international cooperation to avoid internet’s fragmentation. Since my Law Bachelor at the same institution, I have integrated research groups on conflict of laws regarding the internet. As founder of IRIS, a research institute for internet and society, I also coordinate researches about international aspects of internet regulation, conduct studies on the impacts of foreign policies in Brazil, and integrate legal counselling team on strategic cases in Brazilian Courts, dealing with jurisdiction, MLATs, and conflict of laws.
