As a Media and Politics student at Amsterdam University College, I am currently busy conducting research for my thesis, which aims at shedding a new light on the concept of informational self-determination by applying it to issues brought about by algorithmic personalisation.
As a young scholar, my interest in digital rights and internet governance is newfound. Yet, throughout my Bachelor’s degree I have already had the opportunity to research and write on topics such as the right to (online) privacy of government officials, the effects of the attention economy on social media users‘ diets, and Sino-American cyber-relations.
